Destination : Delhi - Leh - Monasteries - Likir Gompa - Alchi - Ridzong - Tsomoriri Lake - Moriri Lake - Leh

Day 01 : Delhi - Leh
Early morning pickup from Hotel and transfer to domestic airport to connect flight to Leh.
On arrival in Leh, airport transfer by jeeps to hotel. In the evening you can take a small walk in the market.
Overnight will be at hotel.

Day 02 : Explore Leh

Vist the bazaar and walk to up to Shanti Stupa.
A relatively new addition to the rocky skyline around Leh is the toothpaste white Shanti Stupa above Changspa village, 3km west of the bazaar. Inaugurated in 1983 by the Dalai Lama, the "Peace Pagoda", whose sides are decorated with gilt panels depicting episodes from the life of the Buddha, is one of several such monuments erected around India by a "Peace Sect" of Japanese Buddhists.
Overnight stay at hotel

Day 03 : Ladakh Monasteries

Full day sightseeing famous Ladakh monasteries - Shey, Thikse, Hemis; picnic lunch, return to Leh.

Day 04 : Likir Gompa and Alchi Gompa

Full day sightseeing - Likir Gompa and Alchi Gompa; picnic lunch, overnight at Uletokpo Camp.

Lakir Gompa :
Founded in 1065 by Lama Duwang Chosje who was given the land by Lachen Gyalpo, the fifth king of Ladakh , the Gompa originally belonged to the Khadampa sect. In 1470 the Gompa was converted by Lawang Lotos, a monk from central Tibet, into the Gelug-pa monastery that is still here today.

Alchi :
Yet the Chos-khor, or "religious enclave", at Alchi, 70-km west of Leh, harbours an extraordinary wealth of ancient wall paintings and wood sculpture, miraculously preserved for over nine centuries inside five tiny mud walled temples

Day 05 : Lamayuru Monastery & Ridzong Gompa

Full day sightseeing - Lamayuru Monastery and Ridzong Gompa, and return to Leh.

Lamayuru : -
The first Lamayuru monastery was built under Rinchen Zangbo at the end of the 10th century, under orders from the king of Ladakh , who altogether had 108 Gompas built in west Tibet. It was built on the broken mountain in the valley and consisted of five buildings, of which only the central building stands today. One can still see some remains of the four corner buildings to the west.

Day 06 : Tso moriri Lake

Start to Tsomoriri; on the way stop at Chumathang hot spring; overnight in our camp.

Tso Moriri Lake :
- Famous fo the large herds of kiang, or wild ass, which graze on its shores, the lake of Tso Moriri, 210km southeast of Leh, lies in the sparsely populated region of Rupshu. The area has only recently been opened to foreigners so you need a permit to travel here, which most visitors do via a jeep safari out of Leh.

Day 07 : Moriri Lake

Arrive at Lake Moriri, visit the Korzok Gompa, nomadic people, overnight in our camp.

Day 08 : Lake Kar

Drive to Lake Kar; overnight in our camp.

Day 09 : Lake Kar - Leh

Drive back to Leh, crossing Taklang La (5260m); hotel in Leh.

Day 10 : Leh

Free day relax, go shopping, in the evening see cultural show of Ladakhi songs and dances in the evening.

Day 11 : Leh - Delhi

An early morning transfer to Leh airport for the flight to Delhi.
